Get ready to Transport your Mind at the annual Read-a-thon’s “Reading Under the Stars” event taking place this Thursday February 16th th from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

A highlight of the evening will be a storytelling through Indian dance performance by Aalokam. In addition, we will have a poetry slam featuring students from PS 10. But to keep the fun rolling all night there will also be the super popular book swap (this year we will have a swap for grown-ups too!), art activities, and a Photo booth where students and families will be able to dress up and take pictures as their favorite literary characters. And just in case you need another reason to drop on by their will be free hot chocolate and cookies.

So now we need your help to make this year’s event the best ever. All you need to do is:

  1. Show up! Come! Drop on by!
  2. Bring books to swap (for the kid AND adult book swap). Bring as many books as you would like and kids (and their parents!) can then pick out 2 new books to read for the Read a Thon. All leftover books will be donated.
