* STEAM FAIR 2017 – A
Space Odyssey

A Community Event To Inspire
Big Thinkers and Great
Tinkerers!
Saturday, May 20, 11-4PM

Planning for STEAM Fair 2017
is well under way! We have
many returning vendors this
year: Beam Center,
NY Hall of
Science
, The Tiny
Scientist
,
Google, Brooklyn Robot
Foundry
, Construction
Kids
and more! We also
have some new vendors headed
our way, ensuring this
year’s STEAM Fair will be
out of this world! Stay
tuned as we highlight them
in the weeks to come.

VOLUNTEER OPPS:

– We need help reaching out
to a few more vendors. Give
us an hour, we’ll give you a
few contacts and all the
supporting materials you’ll
need. Email us to
help out
.

– Have a STEAM idea or
gadget to demonstrate or
know someone who does? Let us know!
We have PTA and PS10 family
sponsored tables and always
have room for more.

– Are you a local business
person who can sponsor a
table? Or do you know
someone who should be
involved? We’re happy to
reach out and tell all the
reasons why this is the
perfect community event to
sponsor. Email us to
connect
.

Library “Staff Picks”

Parents
and Staff, does our PS10
library carry your favorite
childhood book?

Are you madly in love with one
of your kid’s books?

Write a “staff picks” style
blurb about it, and Ms.
Terizzi will post a little
placard on the bookshelf,
recommending your book to
others!

Email your blurb
to Jane K
. Include your
name and a small picture of
yourself along with the book
title, author and your review.

Summer in the City is your
child’s chance to take part
in exciting summer learning.
Students who participate in
the New York City Department
of Education’s summer
enrichment have access to:

  • New curriculum
  • College-level and STEM-oriented
    programming
  • Sports activities
  • Educational visits to museums,
    zoos, parks, and libraries

These programs are not just
fun, they teach students
academic and life skills
that will help them succeed
in the next school year and
beyond.

City program here
