Monday, Feb 6 Projects for Grades 3, 4 and 5 are due to Ms. D'Ambrosi Grade 2 projects are due to Ms. Kaminash. Please bring all projects to the 3rd floor gym between 8:15am - 11:15am.
Tuesday, February 7 Sci-Tech Fair open to the community from 6-7:30. All students must be accompanied by an adult. The 5th grade committee will be holding a bake sale in the lobby with savory & sweet snacks at this time.
Wednesday, Feb 8 - Thursday, Feb. 9 Student viewing of the fair during school hours
Friday, February 10 Dismantling of Sci-Tech fair. Parents and students are to take home their projects by 3pm.

Please be advised that the application process for Kindergarten for the School Year 2012-2013 will begin on MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2012 AND CLOSE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2012 for all children born in 2007.
All applications received during the application period listed above (Jan 9- March 2) will be considered equally, applications are NOT considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families must apply in person. There will be no online application process. Additionally, no application will be processed without the following:
a. The child’s birth certificate or passport AND b. Two (2) proofs of address (of which one must be a utility bill in one of the parent’s name). Phone bills, cable bills and leases are not acceptable. c. Kindergarten Application Form (available to download below)
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Applications will be accepted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. All applicants must report to the Security Desk before coming to the Main Office. At that time you will sign in with school security. No application will be accepted without signing in with security.

What a weekend!
The Parents vs Teachers/Staff basketball game was incredible, the parents won! More pictures here!
Craft Fair Madness For
the (very) few of you who didn't attend, the Craft Fair was a phenomenal
success. Thanks to all the parents (especially Jonathan Sharp) who put
this event together. It seemed even more popular than last year, the
kids' events were great and the items for sale were fantastic. Pictures here!

to make an appointment for your child/ren. PS10 Supports the Troops over the Holidays 25
boxes of holiday goodies went to Afghanistan stuffed into more than 130
Christmas stockings, holiday gift bags, and hand decorated bags - from
Ms. Mazzola's 3rd grade class (3-410) who helped parent Maribeth Dono
stuff items collected from PS10 families. (The Christmas stockings were
from the PS10 girl scout troop who also helped to stuff goodies into
individual packages for soldiers.) We also sent letters that ps10
students sent with items they collected and dropped off to Mrs. Macrina
in the library. And Ms. Mazzola's class all wrote letters, too!
Recess Lunch Duty: December12-16
We
still need parents to volunteer in the lunchroom! Rooms K-206 (Sandy
Fajgier), 2-309 (Graham) and 3-412 (Hackett/McMahon) are all on the
schedule to provide lunch volunteers for this week. If you are a parent
in one of those rooms and you have not signed up for lunch duty for that
week please visit www.timecenter.com/ps10recess and select a date or two that works for you. We ask that each classroom provide 3 to 5 volunteers every day of your week. If you have any questions, please email recess@ps10.org THANK YOU!

Our Fair also features: scrumptious snacks from local eateries; a terrific raffle; entertainment; and fun activities for kids. This is a PTA-sponsored fundraiser. Online registration is THIS week! From Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 8am - Friday, Dec. 9 at 12 noon.

The Save the Arts Auction was INCREDIBLE! A million thanks to the volunteers who put this evening together and all the parents, teachers & staff who bid on all the items!! The rough total for both the Silent and Online Auctions is $25,000! which is an impressive increase over last year's (also amazing) total of $13,000. So THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to put this event together. Pictures coming soon, check the home page of the website in the weeks to come.
A Vertical Garden for P.S.10?
The PTA Green Committee is fundraising to build a Woolly Pockets vertical garden at P.S.10. If we can raise a few hundred dollars before Dec. 5, Woolly Pockets will submit a grant application for us for up to $2000 of additional funding. Please donate to our Woolly Pockets campaign now if you can.
