She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry. Film screening @ NYU Tandon School

Jo Anne Simon is hosting a free film screening of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry. The film tells the lesser known stories of the powerful women who founded the modern women’s movement from 1966 to 1977. As our fight for women’s equality continues, join us to reflect on the history of the movement on the eve of the next Women’s March on NYC. After the screening, Assemblymember Simon will host a discussion with former Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman, Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou, and the film’s director and producer Mary Dore, a Park Slope resident. The event is Friday, January 19th, 6-8:30 pm at NYU Tandon School of Engineering MakerSpace Event Space, 6 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201. To RSVP, contact simonj@nyassembly.gov.
